Welcome to the Library Resource Centre

Librarian: Mr A Kerr
|
The school Library is a very busy learning resource centre. It is a valuable resource for all staff and students and it is an integral part in the effective development and delivery of A Curriculum for Excellence. All members of the school community can access information from a wide range of resources, including fiction, non-fiction, CD audio titles, DVDs, magazines and online learning links. There are also 15 network PCs, a scanner and a laser printer.
The Library is managed by a chartered Librarian (Mr Kerr) who liaises with departments to encourage extensive use of the library, the emphasis being on reader development and information literacy.
One section of the library is dedicated to careers material. This provides students with access to up-to-date careers information on occupations as well as further and higher education.
We are keen to encourage pupils to use the Library for their studies and for recreational reading. To facilitate this it is open at lunchtime and after school.
Mr Kerr is glad to give help and advice, whether it's finding books, information, learning resources or in the use of ICT facilities.
